Shipping What is the difference between SHIPGATE and K-SHIPPING?

SHIPGATE is linked to the Shopify shopping mall by default, and can also be linked to eBay, WooCommerce, Etsy, Prestashop, Godot Mall, and Wish.
However, K-SHIPPING is only a service available at the Shopify store.

Shipping Is it possible to use the shipping service through SHIPGATE? Even if I don't have a Shopify shopping mall?

Even if you do not have a Shopify shopping mall, you can use SHIPGATE if you have a shopping mall such as eBay, WooCommerce, Prestashop, Godo Mall, Wish, etc.
In addition, it is possible to create shipping orders, which sent to individuals without a separate shopping mall itself.

Fulfillment How can I use Fulfillment service along with SHIPGATE?

If you want to use our fulfillment services along with SHIPGATE services, please share your current SKU information with us first. We will then provide you with a quote.
After mutual agreement on the quoted amount, a separate contract will be given to you.
Once the contract is completed, you will be able to use the fulfillment services within SHIPGATE.

Export Declaration How can I set up auto export declaration at SHIPGATE?

First, sign up for UNI-PASS and obtain the declarant code and customs unique code. Based on the obtained declarant code and customs unique code, sign up for uTradeHub (https://www.utradehub.or.kr/) and integrate it with SHIPGATE.
SHIPGATE -> SETTINGS -> ACCOUNT -> Export Declaration, enter the company name (in Korean), business registration number, uTradeHub ID, API key, declarant code, and customs unique code, then click Save to complete the automatic export declaration setup.
When creating labels, check the Auto Export Declaration option under ADD-ONS to complete the automatic export declaration process.

Shipping What are the advantages of SHIPGATE?

We mainly collect and ship overseas products from small and medium-sized sellers, and receive overwhelmingly larger shipping discounts from contracted shipping companies than regular sellers.
Additionally, easy setup makes it easy for sellers to use SHIPGATE.
If each shipping company account had to register for shipping on the shipping company's official website and print a label individually. SHIPGATE can manage multiple e-commerce orders and shippings in SHIPGATE at once.
Lastly, there is an automatic export declaration function, so you can file export declaration more conveniently.

Shipping Which shipping companies can I use with the SHIPGATE service?

FedEX, UPS, Pantos, Kpacket, EMS, Janio, Ninjavan, HCT, Sagawa, OrangeDS, Janco, Aramex, Sagawa Prime, etc. are available.

Fulfillment If I use your fulfillment services, can you also store grocery items?

We apologize, but due to the need for temperature control and expiration dates, it is difficult to use our fulfillment services for groceries.

Additionally, we have specific regulations for the following items:

Hazardous materials: explosives, flammable substances, toxic materials, etc.
Restricted items: weapons, ammunition, certain chemicals, etc.
High-value items: jewelry, expensive electronics, etc.

Therefore, it is accurate and safe to consult with us to confirm whether your items can be handled before using our services.

Furthermore, most countries do not allow the importation of food items, so please take this into consideration.

Shipping What are the process of using SHIPGATE shipping service?

After synchronizing orders from Shopify or interoperable shopping malls to SHIPGATE, create labels.
After selecting a shipping package based on order information synchronized with e-commerce, you can create a label according to the desired shipping company and send the parcels to the distribution center.

Export Declaration Is the automatic export declaration service free on SHIPGATE?

Unfortunately, due to the paid policy of uTradeHub effective from June 1, 2024, you will need to pay an additional 30,000 KRW (excluding VAT) to use the automatic export declaration service on SHIPGATE.
If you exceed 500 declarations, an additional 100 KRW (excluding VAT) will be charged per extra declaration.
(For example, if you send 510 declarations:
Fixed fee: 30,000 KRW
Excess fee: 10 * 100 = 1,000 KRW
Total fixed and excess fees: 31,000 KRW
Final charge including VAT: 34,100 KRW)

Shipping "How long does it approximately take for the ordered items to be delivered to the local recipient?"

International shipping involves many variables, so it's difficult to provide an exact delivery date.
However, the estimated delivery time is approximately,

For FedEx, the parcel usually shipped within a week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For K-packet, EMS, the parcel usually shipped within 2~4 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For YSL, the parcel usually shipped within 2~4 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For Aramex, the parcel usually shipped within 3 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For UPS, the parcel usually shipped within 1~3 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.

Fulfillment Are there any additional benefits if I using the fulfillment service?

Sellers who use the fulfillment service can upgrade to and use the SHIPGATE Professional (55,000 KRW per month) paid plan benefits.

Shipping How does the compensation system work for items that are damaged or lost?

We provide compensation according to the compensation policies of each shipping company.
Please note that each shipping company has different compensation policies and amounts. (We will provide detailed information about application compensation amounts through a separate consultation)
Additionally, for any damage or loss, you need to inform us within 3 weeks from the shipping start date so that we can notify the respective shipping company. If you report the issue after 3 weeks, compensation will not be possible, even in cases of damage or loss

Shipping Is it possible to create labels for multiple orders at once?

In the Orders tab, select the checkboxes for the orders you want, then click
Batch -> Create label to generate labels for multiple orders simultaneously.

Shipping Where can I find the shipping rates for each shipping company which contracted with SHIPGATE?

Shipping rates will be provided after consultation.
Also, you can easily check it by signing up for SHIPGATE and entering your order information by using SHIPGATE.

Shipping To Integrate the shipping rates between Shopify shopping mall and SHIPGATE, What should I have to do?

Use Advanced plan as Shopify plan first, and then contact Shopify customer support by chat to activate Third-Party Shipping Calculators.
If you wish to use SHIPGATE's shipping rates without using Shopify's plan, a monthly fee of $22 is required.

Fulfillment When using the fulfillment service, up to which stage should users have to do?

When using the fulfillment service, users need to handle the integration of SHIPGATE with their online store, synchronize the orders to SHIPGATE and the creation of order labels.
And then we will assist with the packing and shipping of the ordered items.

Fulfillment When using fulfullment service, it is possible to ship out items from the distribution center within a day?

If you create the labels before 10 AM after collecting orders, same-day shipping is possible.

Shipping What are the logistics costs based on Volumetric weight or Actual weight?

The logistics costs based on Volumetric weight or Actual weight vary depending on the contracted shipping companies. You can obtain the shipping rate after consulting with us.
Measurements are taken at the distribution center, which may result in additional charges even after delivery.

Shipping Is there a separate fee for using SHIPGATE services?

After registering your card, the first 14 days are free. Afterward, you can choose a monthly subscription plan.
If you choose Pay as You Go, there is no monthly fee, but there is a label fee of 150 KRW (including VAT) per label.
If you choose the Professional plan at 55,000 KRW per month, you won't incur label fees for up to 800 labels, and you'll have access to branding features, discounted rates from select carriers, and live chat customer support.
If you choose the Professional plan at 110,000 KRW per month allows you to avoid label fees for up to 2,000 labels, along with branding features, discounted rates from select carriers, and live chat customer support.
If you choose the Professional plan at 200,000 KRW per month includes no label fees, branding features, discounted rates from select carriers, and live chat customer support."

Export Declaration I definitely did the automatic export declaration on SHIPGATE, but it says “it is unshipped" a few weeks later. What happened?

First, you need to apply for an extension for that case and then contact us.
To prevent this issue, you must double-check when doing the automatic export declaration.
After completing label creation, go to SHIPMENT, click on the order, and double-check if the export declaration number is correctly entered in the EPN field in the Export Declaration section.
If there is no export declaration number in the EPN field, it means the automatic export declaration was not properly completed for that order.
In this case, you need to edit and re-create the label.

Shipping How do I pay for shipping?

"If you go to Settings -> Account -> Billing tab, you can register a card at Payment Method section, and payments will be processed using the registered card.
(Please note that international cards cannot be registered.)

Shipping It is possible to choose DDP or DDU ?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid, sender pays duties if incurred) or DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid, recipient pays duties if incurred) options are available based on your preference.
However the availability of these options tlsehflvary depending on the shipping carrier."

Fulfillment How is compensation handled if loss or damage happened?

First, compensation is processed according to the compensation criteria of each shipping company.
However, please note that the compensation criteria and amounts differ between companies.
(We will provide detailed information about compensation amounts through a separate consultation)
Additionally, the costs for fulfillment packaging and shipping will also be deducted separately.

Shipping Is it possible to ship palletized cargo internationally?

If you are sending parcels as pallets, it is only possible through UPS.
Sending pallets via any other carrier is not possible, so please double-check before sending to the distribution center.
If you choose shipping company’s distribution center except UPS, the pallet which you sent will need to be returned or collected directly by you.

Basically it will takes different depending on the carrier company.

For FedEx, the parcel usually shipped within a week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For K-packet, EMS, the parcel usually shipped within 2~4 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For YSL, the parcel usually shipped within 2~4 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.
For Aramex, the parcel usually shipped within 3 week from the date it scanned at the distribution center.

Export Declaration If I do the automatic export declaration on SHIPGATE, are there any additional documents I need to provide?

When proceeding with the automatic export declaration using FedEx, you must send the "Export Declaration Certificate" to us at support@shipgate.io.
If the Export Declaration Certificate is not attached, we have no choice but to hold the parcel’s release, so please make sure to attach and send the Export Declaration Certificate to us!
However, for UPS, since we cannot process the automatic export declaration on SHIPGATE, you need to handle the export declaration separately and provide the Export Declaration Certificate to us.

Shipping Is it possible to send multiple boxes on one label?

Sending multiple boxes on a single label is possible, but this option is only available through UPS.
If sent through any other shipping companies except UPS, please note that the shipment will be returned to you.

Shipping why the actual billed amount for shipping differs from the estimated shipping cost?

The international shipping fee is calculated based on the actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is heavier.
Normally, discrepancies between the estimated and actual costs occur when there is a significant difference between the actual weight or volumetric weight of the items at the time of label creation.
Initially, the cost is based on the weight provided by you, but adjustments may be made based on the actual weight later, resulting in additional charges

Shipping "Do you offer domestic parcel pickup services?"

Domestic pickup services have been disappeared starting this year, so please send parcels to us through a courier service that you have directly contracted.

Shipping If recipients cancel their order abruptly after I sending it to distribution center will it be possible to return?

If the domestic delivery has not yet arrived at the distribution center, we can request the personnel there to exclude the parcel.
However, we cannot guarantee this process will be 100% successful.

Shipping Is it possible to return parcels that have been delivered to an international recipient?

We do not offer return services for parcels that have been delivered to recipient.

Fulfillment If the recipient urgently cancels and wants to cancel the shipment, by when should I notify to SHIPGATE?

Basically, since we process all orders on the selected packaging and shipping day, you need to inform us "before" the selected shipping date for the orders you wish to cancel. Once we have completed packaging and shipping, cancellation is not possible.

Shipping In what cases would a shipment be returned during delivery?

“Returns” and “Returns to sender” are different processes.
“Return to sender” occurs when there are customs-related issues that cannot be resolved, or if delivery fails due to customer absence or refusal after customs clearance. In such cases, the shipping carrier handles the return process automatically. (Any related costs are typically borne by the sender.)
On the other hand, “return” occurs when a customer decides to return a product after receiving it. In this case, the customer is responsible for arranging and covering the return shipping costs

Shipping Can I integrate my personal shipping company account with SHIPGATE?

You can use personal shipping company accounts for Korea post and FedEx. Except those you have no choice but to use SHIPGATE's rates.
